In 2015, for our honeymoon, we embarked on the trip of a lifetime to the USA travelling over 4 weeks from New York to San Fransisco with Great Rail Journeys. Little did we know, this would unleash a new passion for worldwide adventures, and was the start of a yearly GRJ escorted tour for us, alongside our regular motorhome trips. In 2016 we travelled around Japan on the Bullet Trains, in 2017 we visited Incredible India and undertook our very first safari, in 2018 we enjoyed a Grand Tour of China. and in 2019 we ventured into Canada and Alaska.

Worldwide travel is like an addiction – once you start, you just can’t stop. Luckily working in schools we get lots of (enforced) holiday; however this can become a restriction because it means we have to really holiday inside the school holidays. So if the GRJ tours don’t fit with our dates, we find ourselves in a situation where we need to go off piste and go solo! We did this for the first time in October 2017, where we enjoyed a 10 day in USA.
