2014 in review

Well, we are officially in the period that we like to call Twixmas. Keith and I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. We certainly did.

We’ve had a break from Bluebell the Motorhome this last three months because we’ve been frantically saving for our wedding next year! We’ve now reached our target though so we can look forward to a few sneaky weekends away soon! I’ve found it difficult not being out and about, I’m definitely a nomad at heart- but in the meantime have enjoyed reading everyone else’s adventures via their blogs!

So what is 2015 set to bring you? We’re planning on joining The Caravan Club to take advantage of their small certified locations this year. We will of course remain members of Brit Stops too! Tour wise, we will be sticking to short breaks this year, with more weekend getaways rather than longer breaks, a short break over Feb half term and a few days somewhere over Easter and Oct half term. We get married in May (eek!) and are following the wedding with a “mini moon”- 4 days to Paris (not in the van though). The main honeymoon comes in August- we are so excited for this, we are travelling to America for 3 weeks, and will be travelling via Amtrak from New York to San Fransisco via Washington, Chicago, Denver, Monument Valley, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National park, LA, and the Rockies just to name a few! its literally a trip of a lifetime and we cannot wait!

So with only two days left of 2014, Keith and I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year- here’s to a marvellous 2015, filled with fun, good health and terrific travel.

WordPress delivered this stat report to my inbox this morning which I found interesting, if you’re into number crunching then you may enjoy it!

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 12,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

      1. Hi guys
It was a while ago….1982..but i remember the artists quarter in Montmartre was fun, and we also took a trip out to Versailles to see the palace of the sun king….Louis forget which one…….great gardens.
And walking by the Seine, the cafes and of course the Eiffel tower.
We saw the mona lisa at the louvre…might be worth googling to see when is a quiet time to visit….it was packed when we went.
        Enjoy!
        Peter
